Can't imagine what you would need it for when a replacement 5/8" water meter can be purchased almost anywhere. You may have luck checking with local water departments or scrap metal dealers in your area, you can also call around to local Plumbing shops, maybe one has a meter or two in their brass scrap pile

I have a very old 5/8" water meter and I am trying to find anyone who may have the 'round read' (pointer) register for these units OR leads as to who may have the same.

I have been searching on the Internet but I have mostly only been finding requests for quotes, news releases of large deployments of new Neptune meters, or other articles of that nature.

Please do not post questions to this forum, unless you are asking for clarification on a tip. This area is for plumbers to give some of their tips to non plumbers. These tips can help people with plumbing issues to save time and money, while making everyone's job easier. An example would be:

If you notice that your shower or bathtub is backing up, check to see if your toilet is having problems as well. If so, it is likely your main sewer line and no ammount of Draino will help you.

This kind of advice saves the home owner from wasting time and money messing with Draino and saves the plumber's cable, skin, etc. from being exposed to harsh corrosives. It's those types of win/win posts that go here.

This section is for home owners, do-it-yourselfers and others who need plumbing related advice. This area is not for "how do I..." type posts. Please post those types of questions in the technical help area. This area is for requests like: "Plumber A says I should do this and plumber B says that. What should I do", or: "should I repair the leak or do a repipe".

Basically, this area is for people who have options to consider and need help making up their minds on which way to go.
