Well for one thing, you are the only one who still calls me "Slic", and you know that I don't use a 'k' at the end. Interesting that you would use that name as your username.

I'll get memebers here as soon as I can find some that want to join. Forums can be tough to get memebers for. Spread the word man! Is your brother going to join or no?

I have a docs appt Monday the 7th. New doctor off Monterey. Bad area. I am not too hopeful. As far as "employed"... I lost my number. Had to to get full benifits I think. Sucks though. I liked being 08.

Just like the title says, talk about what ever you want here, as long as it is work safe. Non-work safe posts belong in the dungeon. Other than that, there are no real rules for this area other than the ones that should be obvious. This is a place to talk about stuff. Simple as that.

Nothing better than a good war story! Share them all - the good, the bad and the ugly. Just keep it work safe! Use asterisks if you have to ("There was s*** everywhere..."). Keep it fun, keep it respectful. No bashing of other plumbers. Well, you can bash the work, just don't mention the name of the company/plumber.

This is okay: "The plumber that did their previous work left flux splattered all over the walls"

This is NOT okay: "Joe, from ABC plumbtastic left flux splattered all over the walls"

(The name above is made up. I do not know of a company called ABC Plumbtastic, nor of a Joe that may work for them)

Here's one for you. Let's say I am replacing the main shut-off to the house, it's a copper line and the meter keeps leaking just enough so that I can't easily get the water out of the verticle below where I need to sweat. Rather than going to the truck and grabbing my wet vac (and extension chord…), I take the sprayer off my spray bottle, dip the tube into the riser and spray the water out which usually gives me enough time to make the sweat before the water rises again! Much easier than loosening the meter nut.
