I have a very old 5/8" water meter and I am trying to find anyone who may have the 'round read' (pointer) register for these units OR leads as to who may have the same.

I have been searching on the Internet but I have mostly only been finding requests for quotes, news releases of large deployments of new Neptune meters, or other articles of that nature.

When  I have had a tough time finding parts like that, I usually go to my local Windustrial supply.  Try this site: http://www-1.winwholesale.com/.

Where are you located?  I know some other places locally.  Edward S Walsh Co is another good place to check, but they changed their name, and I don't remember to what.  Hope this helps.  Oh, and welcome to the forum! :)

Can't imagine what you would need it for when a replacement 5/8" water meter can be purchased almost anywhere. You may have luck checking with local water departments or scrap metal dealers in your area, you can also call around to local Plumbing shops, maybe one has a meter or two in their brass scrap pile

Hello guys! Have you heard about this site - http://www.mariosplumbing.com.au/. My sister just recommended it and I was impressed with their service. I think I'll be needing their service again because my shower heater is not functioning well…

Hey guys

Thank you for your sharing valuable thought, Your meter is a great mechanism to avail for leak detection. Unusually high register digits represent water loss. Given that you take regular readings of the meter, you might identify concealed leaks quickly and conserve gallons of water that any other way only go down the drain. High costs, ongoing noise of running water when water flow is switched off,

Nice to meet you

They don't make all permutations of couplings and elbows and sizes so you may need more than two pieces on each side of the meter to transition from meter port to 3/4 inch copper or whatever. This in turn may make the assembly quite long and force you to use additional elbows to double back and get the assembly to fit in the space provided. The whole meter assembly should have some support such as a tether from the ceiling in addition than the pipes it is connected to. Plummer
